Evening of stories and songs

05:45 am

Our prayers and best wishes go with Joey McGee for the next four Sundays as he will be on the road promoting his new album “The Acoustic Highway: Love, Loss and Other Stories.” We will welcome Joey back on Saint Francis Day, Tuesday, October 4th at 5:45 for a special program that will feature his album release and Fr. Bill’s “official post-pandemic” release of his third book “The Last Howlelujah: Tails from the Trail.” It will be a special evening of stories and songs. Bring a friend!

Joey’s 6th release, The Acoustic Highway: Love, Loss & Other Stories, is a collection of thirteen songs featuring his soulful, unadulterated vocals along with skillful and deft guitar playing. It highlights his unique abilities to craft and interpret stories and songs, all evidenced as he traverses nine original and four covers (featuring works of Ben Harper, Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett, and Townes Van Zandt).

Natural. Intimate. Exhilarating. Roots have always been referenced in his music. Here, he strips it down to the bare roots. It is beauty in simplicity.
